In 2012, Jeff Tait and Randy Crane became partners in Napier Valley Construction & Design Inc. to combine their experience in customized high value construction and craftsmanship to offer clients a boutique renovation experience. By working with clients from concept design to project completion, Napier Valley Construction & Design Inc. can deliver a quality built product that exceeds clients needs and expectations no matter the size or complexity of the project. Over the years by repeat client request, services have expanded to include new custom home builds and commercial renovations.

Jeff Tait
As the co-founder of Napier Valley Construction and Design, I bring over two decades of hands-on experience to the industry. My journey began at 16 with a property maintenance business in Muskoka, where I honed my skills. Later, I expanded my expertise by working on custom cottages for a local builder. With a diploma in architectural technology from Humber College and a degree in business administration from the University of Guelph Humber, I blend technical know-how with managerial skills. My forte lies in problem-solving, which I consider vital for success in construction. I thrive on the challenges each project presents, ensuring open communication with clients throughout. Looking forward, I aim to leverage innovative systems to streamline processes for my company and clients. My dedication to quality and client satisfaction drives Napier Valley Construction and Design towards continued excellence in the industry.
Randy Crane
With 19 years of experience in the construction industry, I began as a laborer in high school and college, honing skills in renovations and new home construction. George Brown College provided me with a formal education, completing a Building Renovation Technician course and a Carpentry Apprenticeship. Passionate about sustainability and the vast scope of the industry, I co-founded Napier Valley, a niche builder prioritizing customer collaboration and high standards. Our vision encompasses custom building and property development, aiming for excellence in King Twp and Muskoka. Challenges drive me daily, relishing the diversity of projects and continual improvement within the team.

“My house was built originally in 1975. A unique and architecturally interesting house, our intention was to preserve the integrity of the design while completely renovating up to current standards. In 2010 I decided to undertake a massive renovation of the property. After consulting with the original architect and hiring Sloan Mauran Interiors to help with the interior design of the house I then had to look for a competent contractor. I had seen the work that Napier Valley Construction & Design Inc. had done up in the cottage area and although a fledgling company I was very impressed with their workmanship. After speaking to some of their clients, I decided to go ahead and hire them. My architect was also impressed with Jeff’s knowledge of design and contracting. The renovations entailed moving some interior walls in the house, installing an elevator, taking all of the walls and ceilings down to the bare studs so that new insulation could be added, installing a new kitchen and 3 full bathrooms along with two powder rooms. A new solarium (which Jeff helped redesign ) was a beautiful addition. Jeff also worked diligently with the landscaper to be sure that the outside was as beautiful as the inside. I was not disappointed. From day one, Jeff worked hard to ensure that everything went well on the project. He consulted with myself, my architect and my designer to be certain that everyone was on track with what was going to materialize. He was professional in every way. He hired excellent sub trades and along with his partner Randy made certain that all workmanship was of the highest standard. I would not hesitate to recommend Napier Valley for any project big or small.”
